The Cash For Kids Mission Christmas Campaign

 

Cash For Kids Mission Christmas is a heart-warming initiative designed to support local children affected by poverty. Especially during the festive season.

Christmas is a time of joy and celebration, but for many families, it can be a luxury they can’t afford.

Thousands of children are at risk of waking up on Christmas morning with no presents to open. Which can make it feel just like any other day.

However, Mission Christmas strives to change that and make Christmas a magical experience for every child, regardless of their circumstances.

 

How are FR Scott Involved with Mission Christmas

“FR Scott is deeply rooted in Hull, and our commitment to the community extends beyond our business operations.

Earlier this year our FR Scott team embarked on a challenging adventure by walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It was tough nevertheless we raised over £1,200 for the Cash For Kids charity.

This demonstrates our dedication to making a difference to the lives of children in the Hull area that are in need.

For this year’s Mission Christmas campaign, FR Scott has made a generous donation of £1,000 to the fund. But our involvement doesn’t stop there; we have also opened up our trade counter as a gift drop-off point”

This means that anyone in the area can easily contribute to the campaign by dropping off presents for children in need. It’s a simple yet powerful way to make a real impact on the lives of local children during the holiday season.
We are hoping some of the hundreds of businesses and tradespeople that use our trade counter every day will bring in donated gifts.

Some of our team are also actively participating in the campaign by volunteering their time to help sort the gifts in the gift centre located inside Princes Quay.

Our support to Cash for Kids Mission Christmas goes beyond just financial support. It’s about being actively involved and giving their time and energy to ensure that as many children as possible have a joyful Christmas.

 

How can you help Mission Christmas this year?

 

Cash For Kids Mission Christmas 2023 launched on Monday, November 13th. There will be multiple ways to get involved.
You can donate cash to the cause, sign up for fundraising activities, or drop off gifts at designated locations, including our trade counter.

Every contribution, big or small, will go a long way in ensuring that Christmas is a magical and memorable time for all children in the Hull area.

This year already there has been over 7000 applications for gifts.  And with each child receiving at least £40 of gifts – there is a huge task ahead of everyone this November and December to ensure no child misses out.

In particular this year Cash For Kids is looking for gifts for teenagers and babies. These two age groups are often overlooked when it comes to the types of gifts donated.
