Water Hygiene

Water Hygiene is an important, but often overlooked, aspect of any business. Protecting staff, tenants, and visitors within your properties from bacterial diseases such as legionnaires is a business’s responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work act 1974. Our services and expertise around water hygiene can take any worries you may have and ensure you are both safe fully compliant.

We currently work alongside a School Academy Trust who are responsible for fourteen schools in our area. After a meeting with the Academy’s Compliance Officer, we devised a strategy to amalgamate all the yearly water hygiene requirements to each site onto one spreadsheet database. The works at each site include:

Quarterly temperature checks and visual inspections of associated plant.

De-scaling outlets.

Flush and sterilisation of cold-water storage tanks, hot water cylinders and expansion vessels.

After each visit, the spreadsheet is updated, signed, and returned to the client. This gives each site quick and easy access to the servicing history and works carried out. Great for asset management and external audits!
